I said to my husband two years ago that I was feeling like we didn’t have many holiday traditions. I loved growing up with consistent events and activities this time of year. It was something I looked forward to and now look back fondly on. From Christmas morning hikes, to oranges as the final piece to our stocking; I loved the little festive details my parents created. When Ally was born, I would consider our first Christmas as a family a completely write off. He was only a few months old and I was just trying to survive the new born exhaustion. But now that the kids are getting bigger we wanted to start our family traditions for them.
One of the traditions I loved is our Christmas Eve Pyjamas. Each year in the evening on the brink of Christmas day, we let the kids open one family gift. It’s always new matching family jams. We then lounge together. I love this holiday tradition. The cozy feeling, matching makes us feel like a unit and it helps to transition to bedtime!
Thank you Hanna Anderson for sending us this matching set. They are such great quality. I will say, that has been one of the struggles this fast year is a) trying prints in all sizes b) finding material that I’m actually okay with on my kids sensitive skin. Hanna is by far the softness and most durability family jams I’ve tried. Plus they are crafted with the very best organic cotton.
What are you traditions?
