Every fall is the same for me in the style department. I invest in a great pair of boots, hunt down a great cape and buy a new bag in a neutral. It’s my favourite season all around: from the clothes, colours to the weather. I’ve been chatting Fashion Magazine’s Style Panel all about my go-to Autumn accessories this week. Let’s just say I’m fall obsessed but I’m hoping in a good way.
I know I’ve mentioned this for both my previous pregnancy and this one… It’s tough finding cute maternity clothes! I’m a clothing horse by natural, I prefer to buy designer pieces I’ll wear year after year, rather than buying into the “fast fashion” sweatshop big box stores discarding a cheap piece after one season. So as you can imagine, finding designer well made maternity clothing is hard! Not to mentioning tracking down pieces that I can wear both during my pregnancy and post baby. With that being said, I want to introduce my fellow mommas-to-be and mommies to TILDEN.
TILDEN offers sophisticated new mothers elevated style and trustworthy content, entirely devoted to this new chapter of their lives. Each style has been hand-selected: accommodating lines, seam placements, and fabrics. Each piece has detailed fit notes to help each woman find what will work best for her shape through each stage of pregnancy and beyond. The assortment will continue to grow each month with new styles and designers, with a full-scale launch plan in the works pending feedback from thoughtful customers like you! Email TILDEN at email@example.com. Founders Ashley Howerton and Laura Forman, two friends who knew quite a few modern mothers-to-be who simply expected more created the ultimate curated maternity shop. They mean it when they say want to help and want your feedback! I was so relieved to find like minded fashion forward women during this phase of life.
This Equipment blouse is exactly what I was looking for, as a long time fan of the brand it was so nice to find a flowaccommodating cut to help me look stylish during this pregnancy and once baby arrives too!
I’ve made it to 27 weeks! Wow that feels like a long journey but I’m well over the half way mark, so things are officially looking up. I was sick for my first pregnancy, I know I can get through this too. If you follow along on instagram, you know that I’ve struggled with pants! We’ve broken up and I’m going steady with dresses! I might as well take advantage while the weather is still warm. If you have any pant brand suggestions, I’m all ears… fall is coming!
I still can’t believe summer is almost over! Maybe it’s been how sick this pregnancy has made me, or chasing after a toddler but this was the fastest summer of my life! For my maternity looks, transitioning from easy to dress summer, to the cooler temperatures may be a bit of a challenge. Let’s face it, it’s was easier wearing cotton strict maxi dresses everyday. Fall is my favourite season in more ways then one, and undoubtedly my favourite style season. I love outerwear, boots and long sleeve dresses.
Luckily I picked up this summer to fall transition dress from Envie De Fraise. If you haven’t heard of them, Envie de Fraise is a leading European maternity brand founded in 2006 by Anne-Laure Constanza with a vision to create affordable, effortless chic clothing for every body type and style. With comfort in mind they design both trendy and essential pieces for the modern moms-to-be. I mean, if it’s good enough for Anne Hathaway and Gwen Stefani’s pregnancy style it’s good enough for me!
You’ll know from my snapchat and insta stories I’ve been obsessed with the new J.Crew Crossbody Signet bag. It comes in so many colours and is fully customizable. You can add a monogram or hang little extras like this key holder. I added my grandma’s scarf for a very personal touch. I’m still torn, might go back and get a one in the animal print too.
